What is a Schedule of Supports
A Schedule of Supports should always be found within an NDIS Service Agreement.
Including a Schedule of Supports in your Service Agreement is very important because it describes:
- when and how often you will be providing support to the participant,
- how much you will be charging them (invoicing)
- cancellation terms - how much notice the participant needs to give you to end these supports.
- travel costs if applicable
When do I need a Schedule of Supports?
An NDIS Service Agreement should always include a Schedule of Supports.
Even if your support is one-off, a schedule is important to make sure everyone understands what is being delivered and how much it costs.
This helps the participant budget their NDIS Plan, as they can factor in how much of their funds they have remaining.
For example:
A Schedule of Supports might state that you (provider) will provide 4 hours of community access each week for the duration of a participant’s NDIS Plan.
You would need to indicate how much this would cost, the cancellation terms and if you are charging for any travel to ensure you and your participant are on the same page.
