Whilst the MyCareSpace team was preparing for International Wheelchair Day, they stumbled across this video product review of the SCEWO BRO - a stair climbing electric wheechair. They were completely blown away!
Surely it can't be true?! Well, watch this video of the Scewo BRO stair climbing wheelchair. You have to see it to believe it.
Here are some of its unbelievalbe features:
- It can climb stairs (both up and down),
- The seat raises for eye level conversation or even higher so that you can reach the top shelf in the supermarket!
- Change direction by simply leaning your torso forward or backwards
- It has a small turning circle, so it's suitable for both indoors and outdoors
- It has a 2 sided control with extra attachments
- It has a 35km battery life
The SCEWO BRO is Swiss made and currently only available in USA and Europe and it is pretty expensive (about USD 40k), but this shows us that advances have been made and we will be seeing more of this magic chair and other wheelchairs that can actually climb stairs at more affordable prices in the future.
